Buying a good striker is never easy. If the player has a longer contract remaining with his current club than the making the deal fruitful becomes even more difficult. Arsenal may have an uphill task at their hand given that Lyon is planning to renew the contract with Alexandre Lacazette.
Lyon had confirmed that a bid from Arsenal for £29 million has been rejected for Lacazette. The Gunners are definitely in the market for a new striker and have been linked with the French player for quite some time now. However, Lyon are not willing to let go of their player easily and reports have divulged that the French club is set to make Lacazette their highest paid player ever.
Earlier Yoann Gourcuff was the highest earner at Lyon but since his movement out of the club, Lacazette could become the top man in the club. All this in the hope that the striker will snub any approach made from Arsenal. Well if the Gunners want to bag this 21 goal striker then they will have to cough up more dough.
