Chelsea’s search for a defender seems to be never ending. After their primary target Kalidou Koulibaly has seemed out of reach, the Blues have been linked with several defenders across Europe as Antonio Conte looks to strengthen the side.
After a narrow 3-2 win over Bristol Rovers, we would not blame Conte. The Blues have reported made a bid of £34 million for AC Milan defender Alessio Romagnoli. The report from Daily Mail said that there was a bid made earlier but AC Milan rejected that bid of £30 million. However, the Italian giants have said that they will consider an offer for the 21-year-old defender.
The new bid is reportedly have been launched and will be officially announced on Wednesday as per Gazzetta Dello Sport. As the deadline day for the transfer window approaches, Chelsea are desperately looking to sign a defender in order to cover their back. The Blues have been decent in the two league games this season but their defense has been shaky.
