Arsene Wenger is facing some serious problems at Arsenal.

Speculation surrounding Wenger’s Emirates future at Arsenal continues to dominate the headlines in the aftermath of a Bayern Munich mauling in the Champions League, combined with two losses in the Premier League against Liverpool and West Bromwich Albion.

The Frenchman revealed after the thrashing against Munich that he has intentions of retiring and following more questions after Saturday’s loss to West Brom, the Frenchman went on to cryptically claim that he will let everyone know about his future in few days.

Wenger was appointed as manager of Arsenal back in 1996 and in his reign as manager has yielded 14 trophies. However, the Gunners have not lifted the Premier League trophy since ‘the Invincibles’ in the 2003-04 campaign and this has proven to be a cause of constant discontent among Arsenal fans.

And following recent results, it seems like Wenger could be set to call it curtains on his time in the North London. With Wenger’s future up in the air we look at three potential destinations the 67-year-old could find himself next season:

Barcelona

With Barcelona manager announcing that he will be leaving the club at the end of the season, there is a potential job opening for Wenger in Catalonia.

Wenger may not have won a league title in quite a long time, but his managerial abilities are well regarded in the footballing world. He remains a respected figure and has been linked with a move to Barca in the past. He is the joint-most successful manager in FA Cup history, has three Premier League winners medals and built the only team that went a full season unbeaten in the Premier League history.

Considering his CV and the attractive brand of football that he brings with him, Barca would be thinking about the 67-year old as a potential replacement for Enrique, ahead of the next season.

Paris Saint-Germain

Wenger has not managed in his own country for 23 years, so a return back home could prove tempting, with giants Paris Saint-Germain the most likely destination in France.

PSG have also been long-term admirers of the French manager. And it is a well-known knowledge that the owners share a very close relationship with the 67-year old. The manner in which they went crashing out of the Champions League against Barcelona and the fact that they look set to lose the title for the first time in five years, manager Unai Emery could find himself out of the job at Parc Des Princes.

A return to his country will appeal heavily to Wenger and a chance to manage the club as big as PSG could be too good to turn down.

Chinese Super League

Wenger has managed in the Far East before, spending a season with Japanese club Nagoya Grampus Eight before eventually moving to Arsenal.

One of the fastest-growing leagues in the world, the Chinese Super League seems to be attracting some very reputable names, be it the players or managers. Former England manager Sven-Goran Eriksson was lured out to China as well as former Brazilian national manager and Chelsea manager Luiz Felipe Scolari. So was former Manchester City and Real Madrid manager Manuel Pellegrini.

Could Wenger be tempted to move back to the east again? One thing is for sure. There would certainly be no shortage of clubs in China looking to tempt him in what could be a major coup.
