The Premier League is host to some of the best talents in world football and it does not come as a surprise that some of the most expensive stars in Europe are from this competition. There are a number of stars up for grabs in big-money deals this summer and there will be a lot of speculation going around with a number of clubs ready to splash the cash at the end of the season.
However, there are also a number of players who will be out of contract at the end of the season and will be available for free this summer. So, who can your club sign for free? Here are the top three free-agents in the Premier League this summer transfer window:
The skipper of the current Chelsea side, John Terry is unable to get into the first team at the club under Antonio and has already revealed that he will quit the club at the end of the season. In his few appearances this campaign, Terry has put in some solid performances and even at 36, has shown that he has some football left in him. His experience in England will come in handy and is already wanted by a number of clubs including West Brom, West Ham and Bournemouth in recent times.
The silky midfielder from Spain, Cazorla is still one of the best players in his position in Europe but is now too injury prone for Arsenal’s liking. He has played just 8 games in the Premier League this season and has missed most of it through injury. Though Wenger still wants to offer him a new contract, at 32, he may not be a long-term option anymore and might be allowed to leave this summer. But his reputation will make him one of the most wanted players in the summer if Arsenal do not sign him up for another year.
The Manchester City midfielder was expected to be sold at the start of the season but he stands as one of the most effective midfielders for Pep Guardiola, even at the final stages of his career. He has played 21 games for the Citizens this campaign, in a season where he was not expected to be in the plans of the manager. He has 6 goals and 3 assists in all competitions this season and at 33, has enough football left in him. Out of contract at the end of the season and available for free, Toure is one of the most high-profile free agents available this summer.
