What If Morata Leaves To United? Here Are 2 Quality Replacements For Real Madrid To Sign

Alvaro Morata

Two Players Who Real Madrid Can Target As Alvaro Morata’s Replacement

Real Madrid are currently the best club in Europe and it is resounded in their back to back Champions League victories under Zinedine Zidane. However, the manager is desperate to add some quality to the squad and is looking to bring in some of the brightest players in Europe to the club this summer.

This will end the time at the club for a couple of first team stars and one player who is sure to quit this summer is Spanish striker Alvaro Morata. Linked with a move to Manchester United and AC Milan, Morata has not been able to establish himself in the first team at the Bernabeu and is expected to fall down the pecking order next season.

So he is not expected to stick around, leaving Real Madrid with a hole to fill in their attack. Here are two players who they can target to fill this void next season.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (Borussia Dortmund)

The Gabon international is one of the finest finishers in world football at the moment and was in incredible form in the Bundesliga. He was linked with a move to the Bernabeu last summer, with the player himself claiming that he would love to play alongside Cristiano Ronaldo, but a move never materialised.

However, he is now up for sale this summer and though it looked like PSG had won the race to sign him, he is still in the market, searching for suitors. He could cost around €70m but Real Madrid will recoup most of the price, as they are ready to sell Morata for huge money. Surely, Aubameyang is one player Real should target this summer.

Romelu Lukaku (Everton)

Though he is not as established as Aubameyang or Morata in Europe, Lukaku is easily one of the best players in England at the moment and would be a useful replacement for the Spaniard at the Bernabeu. He might be a tad expensive but is a genuine goal scorer, who has enough potential to claim a first team place at the Spanish capital in the years to come.

He is yet to prove himself in Europe or outside England, but his attributes are tailor-made to lead an attacking line like that of Real Madrid’s and Zidane should look at him as a possible addition. He is ready to quit Everton and neither Chelsea nor Manchester United are ready to meet his valuation. So Real have a great chance of snatching him away.
