Why Danny Rose Will Make Manchester United An Unstoppable Force
Manchester United have been one of the biggest spenders in the transfer market this summer but Jose Mourinho is still not convinced with the options at his disposal and has been linked with some of the finest players in Europe for a move this summer.
He added Victor Lindelof to his backline already but is still looking to improve the quality in the first team at the back and the latest name now linked with a move to Old Trafford is Tottenham Hotspur star, Danny Rose.
The English international, who missed a chunk of the previous season through injury, has recently come out with an explosive interview, that all but puts him up for sale this summer. Mauricio Pochettino may yet look to offer him a new deal but Rose is currently looking for a way out and Manchester United are more than happy to provide him with the same.
The first choice left-back for club and country, Rose is an academy product of Leeds United and joined Spurs back in 2007. He took time to establish himself in the first team but for more than a year now, he has been the first choice left-back for Pochettino.
However, the lack of progress at the club, along with his desire for new challenges and silverware has seen the player claim that he is ready for a move up north and Jose Mourinho is in no mood to let this opportunity go.
A beast of a defender with mesmerising dribbling abilities, Rose is a dynamic fullback, tailor-made for the English game. He can make marauding runs down the flank and put in accurate crosses while his ability to play short passes with accuracy makes him a team player.
The Red Devils have Luke Shaw, Daly Blind and Marcos Rojo for this role currently at the club but Rose is a genuine upgrade on all those names and will make Manchester United’s attack down the right almost unstoppable.
Rose will link up in midfield with French midfielder Paul Pogba while Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford are expected to provide company up front in the attack. All four players are skilful and technically gifted, and are players not many clubs will want to face.
It might take some time but if Rose, Pogba and Rashford or Martial click instantly, Manchester United will have one of the fiercest personnel patrolling their left flank. Rose’s experience in England will allow him to settle in with ease, which will improve United’s quality at the back and in the team as a whole.
It’d be perfect!
