Manchester United continued their brilliant start to the Premier League campaign as they put in yet another commanding performance, this time at the Liberty Stadium in the second game of the season. Defender Eric Bailly gave the visitors the lead while Paul Pogba, Romelu Lukaku and Anthony Martial all found the back of the in a frenzy six minutes late in the game to steal a 4-0 victory.

The Red Devils will stay at the top of the points table for another week or two and here are the player ratings for this game:

Manchester United Player Ratings

David de Gea (6)

Was hardly tested in what was a dominant performance by United.

Antonio Valencia (5)

Was caught out of position a couple of times but was generally decent on the flank at both ends of the field.

Eric Baily (6)

Opened the scoring on the night with his first ever goal for the club but was a bit shaky at the back on more than one occasion.

Phil Jones (7)

Was solid all night, winning everything in the air and also came close to scoring at the other end.

Daley Blind (6)

Stuck to his task well as he put in a couple of decent crosses and also helped his side keep Swansea away.

Nemanja Matic (6)

Conservative in his approach, Matic controlled the midfield well to give his side a comfortable time in the game.

Paul Pogba (7)

Picked up a goal and an assist on what was a productive and eventful night for the French international.

Juan Mata (7)

Was a constant threat in the attack for Swansea to deal with and was unlucky to not find the back of the net.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan (7)

Picked up another couple of assists to add to his two in the first game, as he seems to be high on confidence early this season.

Marcus Rashford (6)

Missed a sitter and was not as influential in the game as his side would have wanted him to be.

Romelu Lukaku (7)

Dropped deep to pick up the ball and played a role in setting up attacks before he doubled the scoring for his side late in the game.

Subs:

Anthony Martial (8)

Arguably the best player for United after the break, Martial scored one and played a role in the other two goals in the second half.

Marouane Fellaini (6)

Sat back alongside Matic to see off the game.

Ander Herrera (6)

Came on after United and scored their fourth. Had very little to do all night.

This game was the first time that United managed to score three or more goals in their first two fixtures in more than 110 years and with consecutive clean sheets to go with them, the club’s performance in the game got many fans raving about their campaign.
