Celtic survived a scare to their unbeaten run in the Scottish Premiership, as they were able to carve out a 2-2 draw against Hibernian, earlier in the day.
The Hoops were up and running through Callum McGregor’s well-placed strike after 16 minutes into the game. Nine minutes into the second period, the Hibs were back on level terms through John McGinn. The Scotsman then doubled the home team’s lead in the 77th minute, burying an Efe Ambrose pass past Craig Gordon. However, Celtic hit back immediately, through McGregor’s cool finish.
Denied Anthony Stokes on two occasions and made a fine save to deny Steve Whittaker. Not a lot he could do about either of McGinn’s strikes.
Was solid for most of the first-half, but not so much after the break. Guilty of leaving McGinn free for the second goal.
Made a brilliant tackle to stop Martin Boyle and was up for everything that the Hibs threw at him. Could have gotten a little tighter to McGinn for the first strike.
Played out of the back well and his pass to find Dembele leading up to the opener was brilliant. Was solid in the three-man backline.
Booked for simulation in the first-half. Never really got into the game and struggled to get going forward.
Worked hard and was always an outlet on the counter with his direct running. Did well, without really impacting the game a great deal.
Struggled in the middle of the park without the presence of Scott Brown alongside him. Lackadaisical in possession and he was all over the places positionally as well.
Great run and a nice finish for the opening goal. Took his second chance of the game coolly, to equalise for Celtic. Showed why he should be starting more regularly.
Worked really hard down the left flank, running up and down all game long. Sent Odsonne Edouard through, but the forward’s effort was saved. Had a couple of good moments and needs to build on from this positive performance.
Assist for the first goal, after good hold-up play. There were a couple of sparks after the break, but still looks off the pace after his injury.
Was denied in the first-half by a brilliant save by the Hibs keeper. But he was pretty quiet at the top apart from that one effort. Worked hard off the ball though.
Replaced Edouard at half-time and added purpose to the Celtic attack. Could have had a penalty after Ambrose seemed to have fouled him.
On for Dembele for the final half hour or so. Not involved a great deal, but played a part in the second goal for the Bhoys.
Came on in the 70th minute.
