Chelsea Football Club, based in Fulham, west London, was founded on the 10th of March, 1905 at The Rising Sun Pub.

Metropolitan Borough of Chelsea was the name of the club after London FC, Kensington FC and Stamford Bridge FC had been rejected.

Stamford Bridge is Chelsea’s home ground, which was opened in 1877 as the home of London Athletic Club. Later it became the home ground for Chelsea FC.

Chelsea, nicknamed as the “Blues”, have won six domestic league titles, five European titles. The list includes Cup Winners Cup, Champions League and Europa League, seven FA Cups and five League Cups in their illustrious past and present.

The club’s owner is Roman Abramovich since 2003.

Ron Harris holds the record for all-time Chelsea appearances, with 795 first-team appearances. Frank Lampard holds the record for the most number of goals scored, with 211.
