2 Deadline Day Signings That Manchester United Could Pull Off Including This Celtic Star

Two Players Who Manchester United Could Sign On Transfer Deadline Day

Manchester United have done excellent business so far this summer, having lapped up Romelu Lukaku from Everton, Victor Lindelof from Benfica and Nemanja Matic from Chelsea. The Red Devils have also managed to sign striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic for another year, which makes him the fourth signing of the window. The Old Trafford club has made a very strong start to the season as well, winning all 3 of their league games, scoring 10 goals and conceding none.

As strong as they seem at the moment, United could do with some more players in the squad, especially in some specialist positions. Daley Blind and Antonio Valencia are the first choice fullbacks now, while Luke Shaw is yet to return to match fitness and make an impression on Jose Mourinho.

As such, the 20-time Premier League winners could look to sign a fullback who would be good with his overlaps. They could also sign a winger with quick feet and good crossing ability, something that neither Anthony Martial or Henrikh Mkhitaryan really do. With deadline day looming, here are two signings Manchester United could do to bolster their squad and further their cause of winning the league:

Kieran Tierney

The Celtic left-back has been touted as one of the most exciting talents in Europe right now, and he has been linked with a move to Old Trafford. Blessed with an exceptional technique and someont who is adept with his forward runs, the 20-year -old is already a key cog in Brendan Rodgers’ team who will be playing Champions League football this season. He is, however, a bit frail physically but given his potential, signing him would not be a bad move. The Scottish club is already aware of the foreign interest in their star player and is ready to part ways with him for the right money. United could do with someone like him, and it remains to be seen if they make a last-minute move for him.

Ivan Perisic

Ed Woodward has spent the entire summer brokering a deal with Inter Milan for Ivan Perisic. The Croatian international is apparently pushing for the move himself and is desperate to leave for Manchester despite the Italian club wanting him to sign a new deal with them. Though the cost of the transfer might seem a bit over the odds for someone who is already 28 years old and has never really been at the top of world football, he could be the utility winger that Mourinho needs to complete his jigsaw puzzle.

Perisic has made a brilliant start to the season as well, leading Inter from the front and helping them win both their matches in Serie A so far. With only 2 days of the window remaining, Woodward will need to use all his negotiation power if the deal is to go through.
