Two Ideal destinations for Newcastle United’s Isaac Hayden

Newcastle United have been going through a rough patch, with the club unable to spend in order to bring in Rafa Benitez’s preferred targets. The Magpies have been working on a strict budget. Benitez has often shown his frustration due to Newcastle’s lack of financial power. But the manager has so far made do with what has been given to him.

The former Liverpool manager has brought Kenedy back on loan for another season. He has also signed Swansea City midfielder Sung-Yong Ki on a free transfer and has completed a move for Fabian Schar. These are all budget transfers that the club were able to carry out, which means Rafa Benitez is going to have to offload the same number of players as incoming ones.

Lucky for him, Newcastle midfielder Isaac Hayden has reportedly handed in a transfer request to leave St. James’ Park. Hayden hopes to move South in order to be closer to his family. Despite playing for Newcastle United against Hull City the other day, he made his intention to leave Tyneside clear. Hayden made 26 appearances for the Magpies last season, scoring 1 goal.

The transfer window shuts soon and here we take a look at two clubs Isaac Hayden could join.

Brighton and Hove Albion

Reports have linked the Seagulls with the player. Chris Hughton will be aiming to make a strong start to the season given that Brighton have once again received a tough run of opening fixtures.

Hughton could sign the player who would offer him considerable depth and strength in the squad. The 23-year-old is generally deployed as a defensive midfielder and is very good at his job. He could sit in front of Brighton’s backline, offering support to the attack and cover for the defence at the same time.

The midfielder would bring a sense of stability and cohesion in the middle of the park. The Seagulls were not really solid at the back last season and the arrival of Hayden could solve that dilemma.

Bournemouth

Bournemouth would be perfect for Hayden. Eddie Howe’s men endured a lacklustre season last time out and the manager will be aiming to make amends this season.

Bournemouth could use Hayden’s services in the middle of the park. The English midfielder’s ability to distribute the ball in the middle of the park could prove to be crucial for them on the long run. He also possesses impressive work rate, showing no real signs of fatigue. The Cherries could nail down their spot as a mid-table side by signing Isaac Hayden.
