Two Deals That Arsenal Need To Complete Before The Deadline Day This Summer

Arsene Wenger has been a busy man this summer, having finally managed to land a top transfer target in Alexandre Lacazette from AS Lyon. They have also added Sead Kolasinac to their first-team and are looking to make sure that the squad is well equipped for all the challenges that lie ahead next season.

The manager is still active in the transfer market, looking for players who can improve the quality of the squad, while he will also be looking to let go of players who do not fit the bill of requirements at the Emirates Stadium. But with the deadline day fast approaching, time is currently running out for the Gunners and here are two deals they need to complete before the end of the transfer window this summer.

Out

Alexis Sanchez

The Chilean international is easily the most important player for Arsenal at the moment but the lack of progress at the club has seen him reject a contract extension. He is wanted by some of the biggest clubs in Europe but Arsenal are still adamant that he is not up for sale. He was the top goal scorer for Arsenal last campaign and was one of the most productive players in Europe in front of goal last season.

However, Sanchez is yet to make an appearance this season and it does not look like he is ready to play for the Gunners again. He is one of the best players in the world but his heart lies elsewhere and it is best for Arsenal to cash in and spend on a long-term replacement before the deadline day.

In

Thomas Lemar (AS Monaco)

Irrespective of whether they lose Sanchez, Arsenal should make sure that they land this French winger, who can turn into a match winner in the days to come. Lemar helped Monaco to the Ligue1 title last season and can walk into the first team if the Chilean quits. If Sanchez stays, Lemar will get his time to accustom himself to the English conditions.

He is wanted by a host of clubs including Manchester United and Arsenal cannot miss this opportunity to land one of the brightest youngsters in world football. He might be a bit expensive but he is just what Arsenal need, to launch a title charge this season. So Wenger must do what it takes to land him.
