2 Players Who Deserve More Game Time In Mourinho’s Plans For Manchester United

Mata Mourinho

Jose Mourinho and Manchester United have finally settled into their new relationship in the Premier League as star players in the squad are finally coming to the fore and lifting the team to victories. The Red Devils have now won 6 back to back Premier League games and the manager will hope that his squad can keep up the good work until the end of the season. The squad at the Old Trafford is one of the most star-studded, and Mourinho has finally found his best XI that can give him the positive results. With the festive schedule ready to test the depth of the squad, Mourinho will need his players to be ready to perform when called upon. Here are 2 such fringe players who need more time on the pitch to help themselves and the team in the second half of the season:

Marcus Rashford:

One of the most exciting talents in world football at the moment, Rashford was the saviour of the side early this season when most of the star players in the squad failed to put in performances that were expected of them. Having made 12 starts already this season in all competitions for United, Rashford is surely an integral part of the squad but with Mourinho now playing Mkhitaryan and Martial regularly in the wings, the English youngster has lost his place in the squad.

He is yet to start a game for his side for a long time and is slowly being turned into a substitute, asking him to make an impact off the bench. At 19, he has enough time to learn the tricks of the game in the future but with immense potential and high confidence, he deserves to play regularly and Mourinho should give him more time on the field to help him become a better player and make Manchester United even stronger.

Daley Blind:

The Dutch international was a regular starter for Manchester United in the previous season and he was also a first teamer at the start of the current season under Jose Mourinho. However, he lost his form a few games into the season and has ever since, found it hard to push back into the starting XI at the club this campaign. Mourinho seems to have settled into a back line that is keeping United strong but he will know that it is not a backline that can win him the title.

The likes of Rojo and Darmian were not the first choice for Mourinho at the start of the season and though they have been decent recently, Mourinho will surely not trust them in the long term. Luke Shaw is also on the brink of a return but Blind, who is entering the best years of his career, will want to get out on the pitch and help his side and Mourinho should give him a more regular chance to do so as he has the ability to win games for his side.
