2 Top-class mid-season signings that would bolster Arsenal massively including Chelsea outcast

Here are two winter signings who can bolster Arsenal massively

The arrival of Unai Emery at the helm has helped Arsenal rid with the negative vibes of last season. Over the last 2 years, Arsenal fans have been put through a lot. Mesut Ozil constantly underperforming, the January sale of Alexis Sanchez to rivals Manchester United, an almost clueless midfield all added to a manager who had clearly lost the plot meant Arsenal fans have had to endure a very tough couple of seasons.

Unai Emery has turned all of Arsenal’s fortunes around within his first 6 months in charge. Added to Alexandre Lacazette who was brought in last season, Matteo Guendouzi, Lucas Torreira and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang have certainly helped Arsenal strengthen in multiple positions.

Currently in 5th place after Southampton ended their 22-game unbeaten run last weekend at the St.Mary’s Stadium, Arsenal are being forced to have a slight reality check because of a number of injuries piling up. A couple of signings are required to reinforce a team that already looks rather strong.

Gary Cahill (Chelsea FC)

Arsenal are suddenly facing a mini-crisis in defence. With Rob Holding, Konstantinos Mavropanos and Shkodran Mustafi currently unavailable due to injury and Koscielny just returning from a long-term absence, Sokratis is the only remaining centre-half. Unai Emery may also have to resort to playing Monreal as a makeshift centre-half.

Gary Cahill would be a great addition to this Arsenal side. An experienced veteran, he has played some key matches for the blues. Having signed from Bolton Wanderers, Cahill has had an illustrious career at Chelsea, winning 2 premier league titles and most importantly the Champions League in 2012.

He is a proven premier league defender with some odd headed goals under his belt. A leader on and off the pitch, his defending skills in the box are unquestionably top quality and he is exactly the kind of player that Arsenal are lacking.

Strong in the air and capable of reading the play well to cut out passes and shots, he makes a lot of important blocks and interceptions, and would certainly help Arsenal bolster a thin looking defence.

Cengiz Under (AS Roma)

This young Turkish winger has been creating waves around the Serie A for the past couple seasons. He boasts a low centre of gravity making it very difficult to take the ball off him. While he loves to cut inside, he also has a strong left foot, making him more than capable of scoring from long distances.

His vision and passing abilities have to be highlighted too, as he is extremely unselfish and has been known to set up goals on a plate for his teammates.

Cengiz Under

Alex Iwobi has been playing on the left wing for Arsenal on most occasions this season. With Ramsey looking set to leave at the end of the campaign, amidst reports from Express claiming that Arsenal will not be extending his contract, they really do need a goalscoring midfield player.

Ozil and Mkhitaryan have been rather inconsistent, meaning that a player of Under’s quality may be the missing piece to the puzzle that Unai Emery is so close to solving.
