Chelsea have reportedly lodged a massive £50 million bid for PSG striker Edison Cavani according to Le10 Sport.
The Uruguay international was reported to be discontent due to the lack of primary striking position with PSG. However even after the departure of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, to Manchester United on free, Cavani is still interested to leave the French champions, or at least it seems that way according to the reports. The news also states that PSG understands the striker’s desire to leave the club and is attempting to prevent it from happening by slapping a £66 million asking price.
We are not sure how will the bid of £50 million from Chelsea be seen by PSG but given that the player is already 29-year-old, the bid is massive for a striker who is nearing the twilight period of his career. Chelsea were initially chasing Alvaro Morata of Real Madrid but that lead seemed to have gone cold.
