Rowett to make 1 important change – Predicted 4-2-3-1 Derby County line-up to face Bolton

Predicted Derby County Line-up To Face Bolton Wanderers In The EFL Championship

Derby County face a massive home game against a relegation-threatened Bolton Wanderers as they look to secure their place in the playoffs and fight for promotion to the Premier League.

Bolton, on the other hand, will be worried about their form as teams below them begin to pick up points.

After Derby secured an ugly 1-0 away win against Preston on Easter Monday, there would have been a weight lifted from everyone involved with the club because Derby had failed to win in 8 games before that, including a humiliating defeat to Sunderland.

Gary Rowett and his players will know the importance of building some momentum before the end of the season and that starts by beating Bolton at home on Saturday.

Probable Derby County XI

Formation: 4-2-3-1

GK – Scott Carson

Carson made some vital saves against Preston and will want to keep another clean sheet this weekend.

RB – Andre Wisdom

A solid presence at the back for Derby, Wisdom will have to step up to the plate to help Derby reach the playoffs.

CB – Alex Pearce

The former Reading defender had hardly played all season but stepped in impressively when Rowett asked him to.

Andre Wisdom

CB – Curtis Davies

One of the best defenders in the league, Curtis Davies once again produced an excellent performance against Preston.

LB – Chris Baird

The old stager will be preferred to Craig Forsyth who is currently in dreadful form.

CM – Tom Huddlestone

The former Spurs player was back to help Derby control the tempo against Preston and he should do the same against Bolton.

CM – Joe Ledley

The importance of his partnership with Tom Huddlestone was evident when one of them was absent against Sunderland. Ledley does more of the dirty work than his midfield partner.

RW – Kasey Palmer

Kasey Palmer proves that he is a good player, every time he comes on. He needs a start to keep his confidence up.

Kasey Palmer

AM – Matej Vydra

Derby would be lost without Vydra playing just off the striker. A certain starter.

LW – Tom Lawrence

When his goal went in against Preston, his confidence would have grown immensely. He can be truly devastating when he is on form.

ST – David Nugent

Both of Derby’s strikers are out of form, but Nugent is the best of the bad bunch.
