Puel to make 2 changes – Predicted 4-4-2 Leicester City line-up to face Newcastle United

Predicted Leicester City Line-up To Face Newcastle United In The Premier League

Leicester City host Newcastle United in a crunch clash this Saturday as the Foxes look to solidify their position in the top-ten. The Foxes are currently enjoying a good run of form and come into this game on a high after subjecting Brighton & Hove Albion to a crushing defeat in their previous match.

In the reverse fixture last December, Leicester sealed a nervy 3-2 win but this time, the club will be looking to secure a clean win to snatch all 3 points.

Probable Leicester City XI

Manager: Claude Puel

Formation: 4-4-2

Kasper Schmeichel (GK)

Schmeichel is a reliable presence for the Foxes and he should retain his spot for this match.

Danny Simpson (RB)

Simpson’s energy on the right-hand side can create a lot of scoring opportunities for Leicester and he can be defensively solid as well.

Wes Morgan (CB)

Morgan is one of Leicester’s most solid centre-backs and he is expected to be deployed in his usual role on Saturday.

Harry Maguire

Harry Maguire (CB)

Maguire has shown remarkable improvement over the last few months and he is likely to partner Morgan in the heart of the defence.

Ben Chilwell (LB)

The young Chilwell has been one of Leicester’s most influential performers this season and is likely to hold on to his spot.

Riyad Mahrez (LM)

Although Puel has mainly used a 4-2-3-1, he might switch to a 4-4-2 to make up for Ndidi’s absence. Thus, expect Mahrez to start on the right-hand side of the midfield four.

Vicente Iborra (CM)

Iborra can control the pace of the game quite well and he is likely to find his name in the starting lineup on Saturday.

Adrien Silva (CM)

With Ndidi out, Silva might be the one to come in and take up his position. He will have to focus on establishing a good partnership with Iborra.

Marc Albrighton (RM)

Albrighton is expected to take up his usual role on the right-hand side and the speedy winger will be a key player for the club.

Demarai Gray (AM)

After Shinji Okazaki’s error-prone performance against Brighton, Puel might hand a start to Gray. The player’s creativity can certainly come in handy while unlocking an unpredictable Newcastle defence.

Jamie Vardy (ST)

Vardy will undoubtedly be the danger man and the striker will be looking to get himself on the scoresheet.
