Predicted West Brom line-up to face Bristol City in the Championship
West Bromwich Albion played out a 1-1 draw against Birmingham City this weekend to move up to 8th place in the table. Darren Moore’s men were unable to get past a well-drilled Birmingham City defence.
The Baggies return to take on Bristol City this mid-week and Darren Moore will want a strong performance from his side. Bristol City are currently flying high at 3rd place and are one of the early favourites to make it to the playoff. It will definitely be an exciting contest to watch.
Darren Moore will be boosted by the return of James Morrison to training but the midfielder is not yet fit enough to start. The Baggies have no other injury concern. Moore can deploy his strongest team against Bristol City.
Probable West Brom XI
Manager: Darren Moore
Sam Johnstone (GK)
Johnstone has impressed since making the loan move to West Brom. A sure starter in goal.
Oluwatosin Adarabioyo (RCB)
The youngster should start this game ahead of Craig Dawson and aim to put in a good shift at the back.
Ahmed Hegazi (CB)
Hegazi has been the Baggies’ most consistent defender so far. His presence will be vital for his team.
Kyle Bartley (LCB)
The 27-year-old has looked good after making the move from Swansea City. He will be the final defender in this 3-man backline.
Matt Phillips (RM)
The Scottish international has already scored 4 goals and provided 1 assist in the league. He will be in full confidence ahead of this game.
Jake Livermore (RCM)
Livermore’s defensive prowess and work-rate in the middle of the park has been fruitful for the Baggies so far. He should start this game as well.
Chris Brunt (LCM)
Brunt is yet to hit full throttle this season but there’s no doubt he’ll eventually come good. His supply and crosses have been massive for the Baggies.
Kieran Gibbs (LM)
Gibbs was rested for the clash against Birmingham City but he should return to the fold for this game.
Harvey Barnes (CAM)
Barnes has looked energetic and lively for the Baggies so far. The midfielder has done well playing behind the two strikers.
Jay Rodriguez (ST)
The former Southampton man is in brilliant form and looks like his old self again. He should start this game.
Hal Robson-Kanu (ST)
Robson-Kanu was benched for the last game and came on for the final 15 minutes of the match. He could start alongside Jay Rodriguez in this game.
