Confirmed Manchester United line-up to face Valencia: Mourinho picks a strong team

Manchester United are in dreadful form going into this game but they did manage to clinch a win against BSC Young Boys in the last fixture. The Red Devils were once again beaten in the league this weekend by a resonant West Ham United side.

Jose Mourinho’s side have lost only once against Valencia in their previous eight meetings. Manchester United have not faced any other side more often than Valencia in the Champions League without ending on the losing side (Six games).

The Red Devils have a good record at home in European fixtures, losing just one of their last 18 fixtures at home. Valencia are in poor form too, going into this game, losing each of their last four Champions League games.

United definitely need a win in this game given that they face Italian champions Juventus in the next group stage fixture. The Premier League seems far out of their reach and Jose Mourinho will probably turn his attention to delivering in the Champions League.

Both managers will be desperate for a result in order to ease their pressure. A win for Manchester United should help them cement their place at the top and take them closer to the knockout phase of the tournament.

This is certainly going to be a fiery game and there’s no doubt about it.
