Predicted Wolves line-up to face Crystal Palace in the Premier League
An in-form Wolves travel to South London to face a twitchy Crystal Palace team at Selhurst Park in a bid to continue their scintillating start to the season. Nuno Espirito Santo’s men defeated Southampton last week to put an early marker as to how they mean business this season.
The Old Gold are now at 9th place in the table, with 12 points from seven games played. It is quite clear that the newly promoted team is punching above its weight and performing like an established Premier League side.
One of the best things at the club right now is that every player is fit. It helps the manager to gel the squad when everyone is available and make them play in a way he wants them to. Only Helder Costa suffered a knock last game and may not start this one.
Probable Wolves XI
Manager: Nuno Espirito Santo
Rui Patricio (GK)
The Portuguese international has been immense between the sticks for the team so far.
Ryan Bennett (RCB)
Bennett has impressed everyone this season. His partnership with Conor Coady and Willy Boly is very solid.
Conor Coady (CB)
The captain is marshalling his troops from the back. His passing and defensive awareness are terrific.
Willy Boly (LCB)
The Frenchman has been good this season and unless there’s an injury, there is no chance Nuno would change anything in the defence.
Matt Doherty (RWB)
The ever-willing Doherty has done well as a right wing-back, equally supporting the attack and the defence.
Joao Moutinho (CM)
The experience and the know-how of Moutinho is a necessity for Wolves in central midfield.
Ruben Neves (CM)
Having a talented youngster like him in the team is a big help. The 21-year-old can create chances, score long rangers and also defend the spaces.
Another player who has impressed many this season. Expect him to keep his position for a long time.
Diogo Jota (LW)
The Portuguese has struggled to add numbers to his game but his off the ball pressing and movements in possession is great but goes under the radar.
Raul Jimenez (ST)
The Mexican is in good form in front of the goal and is performing his duty well as the team’s No.9.
Adama Traore (RW)
This could be the game for Traore to get his first start in the league. Costa suffered a knock and hence, might not be risked.
