Predicted Watford line-up to face Bournemouth in the Premier League
After making a superb start to the season, Watford are now on the back of three winless games after losing to Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium last week. The Hornets will now be aiming to pick up a couple of positive results before the international break.
Javi Gracia’s men come up against another impressive side in the form of Bournemouth. The manager has to be wary of a number of potent threats in this game.
Watford have a couple of players sidelined for this fixture, with Daryl Janmaat a major doubt as well. The manager will have to ring the changes in order to keep the players fresh. The international break could help them return fresh when the league restarts.
Probable Watford XI
Manager: Javi Gracia
Ben Foster (GK)
By far the best signing Watford have made this season. Foster will continue in goal throughout the season unless he succumbs to an injury.
Fernando Navarro (RB)
Navarro did well defensively in the last game but he failed to replicate Janmaat’s ability going forward.
Craig Cathcart (CB)
He has been impressive against Arsenal but was unfortunate to turn the ball into his own net. Should start this game though.
Christian Kabasele (CB)
Kabasele has been a rock at the back for Watford this season. He will definitely play a huge role for Javi Gracia.
Jose Holebas (LB)
After making a bright start, the Greek full-back seems to have slightly faded away. He is, nevertheless, one of their main sources of supply going forward.
Abdoulaye Doucoure (RCM)
Doucoure has been a massive presence in the middle of the park for the Hornets since last season. He is one of the indispensable members of this team.
Etienne Capoue (LCM)
Capoue’s direct runs should pose a few problems for Bournemouth at the back.
Will Hughes (RAM)
Hughes has impressed after receiving an extended role under Gracia this season. He has shown urgency and intensity in the final third.
Roberto Pereyra (LAM)
The Argentine winger is experiencing a dip in form but there’s no telling when he will explode into life.
Andre Gray (ST)
Gray looks refreshed under Gracia this season and can hit new heights in terms of personal growth.
Troy Deeney (ST)
Watford’s captain will always be a massive influence on the field despite his age. He will partner Gray up front.
