Predicted Watford line-up to face Wolves in the Premier League

Watford were soundly beaten by Bournemouth in the last game and the Hornets will be aiming to make amends when they return to the Premier League this weekend. The club have made a splendid start to the season under Javi Gracia.

They come up against Wolverhampton Wanderers this weekend and this game will pose another tough test for the Hornets. The Wolves are one of the surprise packages in the league this season and have already made a name for themselves.

Team News

Tom Cleverley, Daryl Janmaat and Marc Navarro are all still unavailable. Javi Gracia will also not be able to call upon centre-back Christian Kabasele, who received a red card in the last game. But apart from that, he has no real injury concerns to worry about.

Probable Watford XI

Manager: Javi Gracia

Formation: 4-2-2-2

Ben Foster (GK)

He has been excellent since making the move from West Brom this season. Foster will definitely play every game for the Hornets.

Ben Foster

Kiko Femenia (RB)

Femenia has stood well in place of Janmaat and should retain his spot for this fixture as well.

Craig Cathcart (CB)

Cathcart has been a leader at the back for Watford this season. He will surely play a crucial role over the course of the season.

Adrian Mariappa (CB)

With Kabasele suspended, Mariappa will partner Cathcart at the back.

Jose Holebas (LB)

The Greek international has made a superb start to the season. His set-pieces have been vital up front.

Etienne Capoue (RCM)

Capoue’s directness and ability on the ball make it very hard for defenders to stick a leg in.

Abdoulaye Doucoure (LCM)

The French midfielder has been one of the driving forces for the Hornets this season. He will partner Capoue in central midfield.

Will Hughes (RAM)

Hughes has flourished under Javi Gracia this season. He is proving to be a gem of a player.

Roberto Pereyra (LAM)

Pereyra’s form has slightly tailed off in the last weeks but he is definitely capable of springing back to life in this game.

Troy Deeney

Troy Deeney (ST)

Deeney’s influence is unparalleled on the field and there’s no reason for him to be on the bench.
