Superb Fabianski, Impressive Balbuena – Here’s how the West Ham stars fared in the 1-1 draw vs Leicester

West Ham Player Ratings vs Leicester: Here’s how the Hammers fared

West Ham United held their nerve to ultimately settle for a 1-1 draw at the King Power Stadium. Manuel Pellegrini’s men started the game on the front foot and took an early lead through Fabian Balbuena in the first half. But a red card to captain Mark Noble turned the tide in the Foxes’ favour.

The Hammers looked set to seal three points only for Wilfred Ndidi’s deflected effort fly into the top corner.

West Ham United Player Ratings

Lukasz Fabianski (8/10)

Made a number of fine saves and ensured the Hammers at least got a point out of it. He was unlucky to concede the one goal.

Pablo Zabaleta (6/10)

Was slightly sloppy with his defending and lucky not to be sent off. He picked up a yellow card in the process.

Fabian Balbuena (8/10)

Balbuena was superb on the night and defended his heart out. He scored the Hammers’ only goal.

Issa Diop (7/10)

Rice distributed the ball well and defended impressively. He did give away possession on a couple of occasions.

Grady Diangana (6/10)

Not a top performance from the midfielder but was neat and tidy in possession. He linked up well going forward.

Mark Noble (5/10)

A horrible challenge from the West Ham captain got him a red card. He looked shaky right from the start.

Javier Hernandez (5/10)

The Mexican had a poor game and barely managed to threaten Leicester’s goal.
