Predicted Celtic line-up to face Dundee in the Scottish Premiership
Celtic face a trip to Dens Park as Brendan Rodgers’ men take on Dundee in the Scottish Premiership on Wednesday.
Rodgers’ Celtic would be high in confidence after securing a place in the Betfred Cup final by beating Hearts 3-0 last weekend. Domestically, the Hoops are in a very good run of form and go into the game against Dundee as favourites.
Dundee, meanwhile, find themselves at the bottom of the table with just three points on the board.
Dedryck Boyata would be available for selection after serving his one-game ban but Scott Brown, Youssouf Mulumbu and Leigh Griffiths remain doubtful.
Jozo Simunovic and Cristian Gamboa could miss out against Dundee after they got injured against RB Leipzig last week.
Meanwhile, Eboue Kouassi could shake off the minor injury problem he sustained at Hearts on Sunday.
Probable Celtic XI
Manager: Brendan Rodgers
Craig Gordon (GK)
Gordon could return to the starting XI after missing out against Hearts on Sunday.
Mikael Lustig (RB)
Lustig has not been at his best this season, yet, he finds the backing of the manager. He should start at right-back.
Filip Benkovic (CB)
Benkovic is a powerful defender who will look to keep the Dundee attackers at bay.
Dedryck Boyata (CB)
Boyata brings a calming influence to the backline and after returning from suspension, he should walk straight into the starting XI.
Kieran Tierney (LB)
An attacking full-back, Tierney offers a lot going forward and is equally disciplined when it comes to defending.
Olivier Ntcham (CM)
Ntcham has been disappointing so far this season. He needs to start taking responsibilities and deliver the goods.
Callum McGregor (CM)
McGregor had a poor game against Hearts in the League Cup semi-finals. However, he has to redeem himself and show the defensive discipline to play in central midfield.
James Forrest (RW)
Forrest has nailed down a regular place on the right with a series of eye-catching displays. He is a certain starter for the game.
Tom Rogic (CAM)
In the No.10 role, Rogic should start, as the Australian can pick passes. He also possesses the ability to find the back of the net.
Ryan Christie (LW)
Christie could get a chance on the left after his game-changing performance against Hearts in the League Cup semi-finals.
Odsonne Edouard (ST)
Edouard should lead the Celtic attack on Wednesday. The young Frenchman would look to get on the scoresheet against a struggling Dundee side.
