Why Fulham should definitely make the move for Ozan Tufan
According to Turkish outlet Aksam via Turkish Football, Fulham are interested in making a move for Fenerbahce midfielder Ozan Tufan. The Turkish star has not made a single appearance for his club this season due to an ongoing feud with the management.
Tufan has two years left on his current contract with the Turkish outfit but the club are willing to offload the player for a cut-price deal in January should the right offer come in. According to the report, Crystal Palace are also interested in making a move for the 23-year-old midfielder.
But at this moment, its Fulham who are at the bottom of the league table and in dire need of some fresh faces. The Cottagers have conceded a record-breaking 31 goals in 12 games this season, scoring just 11.
Ranieri should definitely make a move for the Turkish midfielder in January. The Cottagers have lacked a certain flair in the middle of the park, the kind of player to make things happen. Fulham tend to waste a ton of opportunities but with Ozan Tufan pulling the strings, things will surely get better.
The likes of Tom Cairney, Jean Michael Seri and Kevin McDonald have all done well defensively but what they lack is an offensive-minded midfielder to provide them with that extra flair in the midfield.
Though Tufan has just 6 goals in more than 50 appearances for Fenerbahce, he is highly rated and has also made 31 appearances for the Turkish national team, scoring 4 goals.
He is technically very good on the ball and loves to drive at defenders. Tufan also possesses a wide range of passing, something that not all the Fulham stars have enjoyed this season. The Turkish international will definitely love sitting behind striker Aleksandar Mitrovic.
The Serbian wreaks havoc against the defenders and his ability to hold up the ball should give Tufan the time and space to play his game.
The Fenerbahce midfielder also possesses an excellent work ethic and is more than willing to track deep and support the defence.
Fulham should definitely beat Crystal Palace to the signing of the Turkish midfielder. The Cottagers are in desperate need of some energy and they are currently facing the risk of a swift return to the Championship. Claudio Ranieri must invest in January and bolster his ranks.
