Predicted Burnley line-up to face Crystal Palace in the Premier League

Burnley were beaten by Newcastle United in the league last weekend as the Clarets’ poor start to the season continued. Sean Dyche’s men have looked nothing like the defensively resilient side they were last season and are in dire need of some positive results.

The manager will now aim to pick up a win against Crystal Palace in the Premier League this weekend. The Eagles have also been in poor form but they did manage to claim a draw against Manchester United in their own backyard last weekend.

Team News

James Tarkowski and Johann Berg Gudmundsson both missed out on action last weekend due to injury. Stephen Ward and Nick Pope are also still out injured and will be sidelined for more time.

Probable Burnley XI

Manager: Sean Dyche

Formation: 4-4-1-1

Joe Hart (GK)

Hart has been good in goal for the Clarets but he needs more support from his defence.

Joe Hart

Matthew Lowton (RB)

Should continue at right-back but has failed to maintain consistency in his displays.

Kevin Long (CB)

Has stood in well for Tarkowski but hasn’t done enough to keep out the goals.

Ben Mee (CB)

Mee was unfortunate to turn the ball back into his own net in the last game. He will surely start this one alongside Long.

Aaron Lennon (RM)

Lennon has lost his pace, drive and energy given his ripe age. Sean Dyche needs to find a replacement in January.

Aaron Lennon

Ashley Westwood (RCM)

Westwood was kept on the bench in the last game and should return to central midfield for this one. He needs to be more crisp and quick with his distribution.

Jack Cork (LCM)

Cork should partner Westwood in the middle of the park in this game. He needs to work hard defensively.

Robbie Brady (LM)

With Gudmundsson out, Brady should continue on the left flank. He has every chance of scoring against the Eagles.

Jack Cork

Sam Vokes (ST)

The goalscorer from last week will surely continue to lead the line again this week.

Chris Wood (ST)

Wood was unlucky not to get a goal for himself last week. He looked dangerous and always kept the goalkeeper on his toes.
