Predicted Crystal Palace line-up to face Wolves in the Premier League

Crystal Palace will look to start 2019 in style when they face Wolverhampton Wanderers at the Molineux on Wednesday.

The Eagles lost at home to Chelsea in the weekend and are down in 14th place, 10 points off their Wednesday’s opponents. Roy Hodgson will be eager for a response from his team.

Wolves, meanwhile, head into this fixture on a high after beating Tottenham 3-1 at Wembley on Saturday.

Team News

Christian Benteke is the only Crystal Palace player injured at the moment.

Ahead of the Wolves clash, Hodgson has no fresh injury concerns.

Probable Crystal Palace XI

Formation: 4-4-2

Manager: Roy Hodgson

Vicente Guaita (GK)

Guaita was beaten once against Chelsea at the weekend. The Spaniard, however, will be desperate to keep a clean sheet on Wednesday.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka (RB)

Wan-Bissaka has nailed down a place in the team with a series of impressive displays. He is one of the first names on Hodgson’s team sheet.

James Tomkins (CB)

A no-nonsense defender, Tomkins will look to keep things tight at the back against Wolves.

Mamadou Sakho (CB)

Sakho has been Tomkins’ perfect partner at the heart of the Palace defence. The Frenchman will relish the challenge posed by Raul Jimenez in the midweek.

Patrick Van Aanholt (LB)

Van Aanholt is a flying left-back who will look to keep the excellent Matt Doherty at bay.

Luka Milivojevic (CM)

The leader of the pack, Milivojevic is an indispensable figure for this Crystal Palace side.

Cheikhou Kouyate (CM)

Partnering Milivojevic in the middle of the park could be Kouyate. The Senegalese will have to be at the top of his game to stop Wolves.

Jeffrey Schlupp (LM)

Schlupp’s pace and direct running could give the Wolves defence a headache on Wednesday.

James McArthur (RM)

McArthur’s work rate and energy make him such an invaluable player for Crystal Palace.

Andros Townsend (right)

Andros Townsend (RS)

Townsend has been in top form of late and deserves to keep his place in the team. His intelligent movement coupled with pace make him such a tricky customer to deal with.
