3 ideal Premier League destinations for this 17-goal Mexican speed demon including West Ham

3 Premier League clubs Mexican winger Hirving Lozano could join this summer

Mexico were knocked out of the FIFA World Cup after losing 2-0 to Brazil in the round of 16. However, they did put up a strong fight for the World Cup, taking down a number of teams on their way. They beat current World champions Germany by a 1-0 scoreline, thanks to a goal from Hirving Lozano.

The attacking midfielder has been in impressive form throughout the season. He scored one goal and provided one assist in 4 games at the World Cup. The 22-year-old plies his trade with Dutch side PSV Eindhoven.

Lozano made a total of 29 appearances in the Eredivisie this season, scoring 17 goals and providing 8 assists in the process. He generally operates as a central attacking midfielder but is also capable of playing on the wings.

He is a very versatile midfielder. The youngster’s extraordinary displays will probably have a number of clubs tracking the player.

Here we take a look at three Premier League clubs that would be ideal for the midfielder.

Southampton

The Saints were a whisker away from facing the drop but eventually finished 17th in the league, 3 points above the relegation zone. Mark Hughes should now be aiming to take the Saints back to mid-table, where they belong.

Southampton have sold a number of their stars in recent years but have effortlessly replaced each and every single one. Lozano would be a perfect fit in this squad. The midfielder could play a supporting role behind Charlie Austin or Shane Long.

With Dusan Tadic not replicating the kind of form he showed during his early days with the club, the arrival of Hirving Lozano could see the attack become more fluid and free.

West Ham United

The Hammers are in dire need of a new attacking midfielder after it was confirmed that talismanic icon Manuel Lanzini would miss a large chunk of next season. The Argentinian suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury, one the worst injuries in football.

This means that Manuel Pellegrini is going to need a new attack-minded creative presence to replace the player. Hirving Lozano fits the bill perfectly. The likes of Javier Hernandez and Marko Arnautovic would certainly thrive with Lozano behind them.

With Pellegrini at the helm, the manager could use his influence and power to lure the Mexican to the London stadium.

Crystal Palace

Palace were rescued by Roy Hodgson last season as they made one of the worst starts to a Premier League campaign. The Eagles heavily relied on Wilfried Zaha to produce the goods on a regular basis. And when the Ivorian was out injured, they toiled to produce any threat or venom going forward.

The addition of Lozano would see Zaha get relieved of a considerable amount of pressure. Lozano could slot in perfectly behind Zaha, or play as a winger for the Eagles. Roy Hodgson should certainly make the move for the in-form Mexican if he aspires to take the Eagles higher next season.
