Arsenal vs Chelsea
The two London giants face off at the Emirates Stadium on Monday evening, and here we look at the battles that could decide the outcome of the game.
1. Wojciech Szczesny vs Petr Cech
Both sides have had little problem scoring this season, and the two goalkeepers have been two of the best in the Premier League this season, with arguably the only other goalkeeper playing at the same level being Liverpool’s Simon Mignolet. Olivier Giroud and Fernando Torres have had the same problems when it comes to putting away the majority of their chances away, and that gives the two custodians an advantage, but Giroud currently has 7 Premier League goals to his name, while Torres can turn up at any time, and we all know how good he is on his day. Whoever can keep a clean sheet will give their team the advantage, as it is likely that there will be goals, as Arsenal have only failed to score in one Premier League game this season, against Manchester United, while Chelsea have only been kept out on two occasions, against Manchester United also, and at St. James’ Park against Newcastle.
