Manchester United are set to be one of the busiest clubs in the summer transfer window at the end of the season as Jose Mourinho is ready to bring some big names to Old Trafford. A few positions in the squad need some strengthening if United are to compete for trophies next season while depth in the squad might also be addressed. And according to reports from The Sun, Jose Mourinho is ready to spend close to £250m this summer to revamp the squad. He spent close to £150m in the previous summer but is yet against lining up some of the biggest names in Europe. But how far can the fans dream? Neymar Jr (Barcelona)
Though a part of the front three for one of the most successful clubs in recent times, Neymar Jr is still 25 and might be looking for new challenges. Playing alongside Lionel Messi is something that Manchester United cannot replicate and offer but they can surely give him that status at Old Trafford. Zlatan Ibrahimovic, the current talisman in the squad, is not going to stay for long, so Neymar, along with Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford, Paul Pogba, Jesse Lingard and Eric Bailly, can form the core of the team for Mourinho. Andrea Belotti (Torino)
Everyone wants a piece of a budding superstar who can come good in years to come. But not many have a war chest of £250m to spend. Jose Mourinho is desperate for a star striker and there are very few who are in better form than the Italian youngster in Europe at the moment. The first choice for club and country, Andrea Belotti has 26 goals and 5 assists in all competitions this season and looks tailor made for Jose Mourinho’s style of play. He has a release clause of €100m in his contract that expires in 2021. Mourinho is already looking to break the barrier and might get the 23-year old to the Old Trafford this summer.
