3 Players Jose Mourinho Might Sell ASAP After Taking Charge At Manchester United

Manchester United have finally won the FA cup, the trophy they haven’t won in 12 years, but the fans still want the Dutch gaffer Louis van Gaal to be replaced. Under Louis van Gaal, United was not the side, they previously were. He turned the Devils into more of a defensive side, and the players were no longer a threat for opposition.

The man who is heavily linked with Manchester United to replace van Gaal is the Portuguese tactician Jose Mourinho. Jose Mourinho was sacked by Chelsea for the second time his career, and since then, he has been rumored to take charge at Old Trafford.

Many Manchester United supporters want Jose Mourinho in charge, yet there are many, who doesn’t favour the playing style of the Portuguese. Jose has a bad reputation in terms of dealing with the players. He is often accused of selling the fan favourites and besides that, he never favours to nurture the academy graduates and that’s why, we have seen very few young talents who have groomed under him.

Well, there will be many pros and cons, but it is certain that Jose will turn Manchester United into a title contender. As Louis van Gaal states in many of his press conferences that Manchester United are in a state of transition, many ins and outs are expected in the coming transfer window.

If Jose Mourinho is confirmed as a manager, United fans will surely see many players leaving the club, so here we list 3 Manchester United players Jose Mourinho will sell ASAP-

  1. Ashley Young-

Ashley Young- Manchester United

Ashley Young joined Manchester United in 2011, and the English midfielder took no time to establish himself as a Red Devil. He played a very important role in Alex Ferguson’s midfield, but after his retirement, his form started to dip and eventually he became an injury prone player.

The 30-year-old is a very versatile and pacey player who converted himself as a fullback during the 2015-16 season. In the past couple of seasons, the Englishman has struggled to fit into the first team, but he never had the game changing impact. It is reported that Manchester United are willing to listen offers for Young and if Jose Mourinho arrives, he will be looking to get an upgrade in place of Young, and he will surely be one of those players who will leave the squad.

  1. Marcos Rojo-

Louis van Gaal bought the Argentine defender Marcos Rojo in order to establish a more disciplined back line. The Argentine did a pretty good job in his first season at the club, but in the recent season, he was hit by injuries and that affected his performance heavily.

The 26-year-old Argentine has won just 47% of his take ons and that is one of the many reasons Jose will not hesitate to sell him this summer. In the entire 2015-16 season, he appeared 16 times in the premier league, and never gave a performance that would cheer the supporters or the manager. He was way too easy in defending, and never showed the desire or hunger in the game.

  1. Marouane Fellaini-

David Moyes bought this towering Belgian to Manchester in 2013. He failed badly in his first season at the Old Trafford and the crowd gave him a name ‘Failure Fellaini’. Louis van Gaal’s arrival brought hope and the Belgian was revived. He scored a stunning goal by coming on from the bench to win the game for the Red Devils.

He eventually became van Gaal’s  favourite man and started to feature in almost every Manchester United’s game. He is a strong and physical midfielder, but the Belgian has become more of a wrestler than a footballer. He had succeeded in just 37% of his attempted tackles in the Premier League this season, and also failed to contribute in the attacking front. It won’t be shock if the arrival of Mourinho will end Fellaini’s future as a Devil.
