3 players who could still leave the Premier League including Tottenham and Liverpool stars

Three players that could still leave Premier League this summer

English Premier League teams are set in stone as the transfer deadline closed on 9th August. Well, the clubs in England cannot buy any more players but they can offload players until the end of the month.

For other leagues in the continent, the transfer deadline day is until 31st August, meaning they can buy players from England as well. Here, we take a look at three players who must leave their clubs before the end of the month.

Matteo Darmian

Matteo Darmian was one of the 6 players that Louis Van Gaal bought before his second season at the club. He seemed to have adapted well to the Premier League but then came the away game at The Emirates where Arsenal beat United 3-0. From that game onwards, Darmian never looked the same.

He started at right-back but after Luke Shaw’s horrible leg break, he played left-back for the majority of the campaign and made 24 starts in the Premier League, scoring 1 goal. Jose Mourinho then arrived and continued to play him as a left-back over Luke Shaw in the 2016/17 season and Darmian started 30 games in all competitions, including the Europa League final.

But last season was a poor one for the Italian right-back. Mourinho preferred Ashley Young over Darmian, who just started 5 games in the Premier League. According to Express, Darmian has already told Jose Mourinho and Ed Woodward that he wants to leave the club. But he is the only available senior right-back at United right now as Valencia and Dalot are both injured.

He started for United in their first match of the season against Leicester City but the situation can change very quickly as the Italian transfer window is open until 31st August.

Danny Rose

After his potential move to Manchester United failed to materialise, Rose now has an option to move abroad.

According to The Sun, Tottenham have received a bid for him from Bundesliga club Schalke. The German outfit wants him on loan for the whole season and Daniel Levy has also agreed to let him leave the club (h/t The Sun).

Rose’s situation doesn’t look all too good and it looks like a move away from Tottenham is the best option for the Englishman.

Simon Mignolet

Following Alisson’s arrival from Roma, Mignolet has fallen down the pecking order at Liverpool. Loris Karius should act as the back-up, meaning Mignolet could be third-choice at Anfield this season.

Daily Mail reports that Serie A runners-up Napoli are interested in signing the Belgian shot-stopper. Napoli need to replace Pepe Reina, who joined AC Milan this summer and Mignolet could be a great choice for the same.
