Surprise! – Three Players Who Have Stunned Everyone So Far This Season

The Premier League is already four weeks old and the teams around the country seem to have settled down finally, after a gruelling summer transfer window. The likes of Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea have made decent starts to the campaign while Crystal Palace and Huddersfield Town have given some surprises at different ends of the points table.

Even after just 4 games, there are a number of players who have already shown great composure and form early this season but it will not be easy for them to carry it on until the end of the season. But who have surprised us the most? Here are three Premier League players who have been surprisingly good so far this season:

Alberto Moreno (Liverpool)

Though not effective in front of goal, the Spanish full-back has been given a lifeline by Jurgen Klopp after a summer where he was expected to be sold. At just 25, he is still one of the most exciting full-backs on show in Europe but is only slowly showing some maturity. He is still error prone but in the new season, he has shown profound confidence that has turned him into the first choice LB for Liverpool this season. Surely, he is has been the biggest surprise for Liverpool this season.

Danny Welbeck (Arsenal)

The English striker has not been able to cement his place in the first team at the Emirates for over two years now but a lack of personnel saw Arsene Wenger stick with him for the first few games of the season. Welbeck has not disappointed as he has managed three goals and an assist, firmly establishing himself in the plans of the manager. With Lucas Perez gone, he has become all the more important for Arsenal and the with the start he has made to the campaign, he is surely one of the biggest surprises in the league so far.

Steven Mounie (Huddersfield Town)

A relative unknown quantity from Benin, Mounie has been the orchestrator for the newly promoted Huddersfield town, who are currently placed 6th in the points table. Showing no nerves whatsoever in his debut season in the English top-flight, the 22-year old striker has taken on some of the best defenders in the league and has come out on top. He has two goals to his name to go with 3 key passes to his name this season and is the biggest surprise of the league season so far.
