Three Players Wolves Must Sign In The Summer Window

High-flying Championship side Wolverhampton Wanderers look set to secure a top-flight promotion by the end of the season and it is something that their fans are eagerly waiting for. Nuno Espirito Santo has made quite an influence and with super-agent Jorge Mendes pulling the strings behind the scenes, the club have managed to sign some top-class players over the last season or so. And it has clearly paid off since they are now 12 points ahead of their rivals at the top of the table (at the time of writing).

However, moving to the Premier League will be an entirely different ball game and the Wolves will have to prepare for newer and tougher challenges. With the way the competition has intensified this season, there is no doubt that next season will be all the more thrilling and to keep up with that, the club will need to treat the upcoming summer transfer window very seriously. With that in mind, here are 3 players the club should most definitely consider signing once the season comes to an end.

Nicolai Jorgensen – Feyenoord

With ample funding coming in from their foreign investors, signing a promising star like Jorgensen will be quite doable for the club. Feyenoord are currently 4th in the Eredivisie standings and Jorgensen has played quite a role for them up front by banging in 9 goals and providing 3 assists in 23 appearances so far this season.

Known for his poaching skills, Jorgensen could be the ultimate addition up front even in the stickiest of situations. All in all, he is quite a clinical player and could work wonders for the Wolves in the Premier League as well.

Rob Holding – Arsenal

Holding was linked with an exit from Arsenal in the summer (on loan) and he is certainly an option worth considering. Blessed with defensive solidity and the ability to sniff out danger before it materialises, Holding can prove to be a valuable addition to the club.

This season, he has found it tough to make regular appearances, with the likes of Laurent Koscielny and Shkodran Mustafi eating up most of the opportunities. This means he could be open to joining Wolverhampton. He can be quite influential at the back, thus making him a viable prospect for the club to consider.

Joao Carvalho – Benfica

Carvalho was linked with the Wolves in the recently concluded January window and given his skills, there is absolutely no doubt that he would prove to be a good signing. The club will need midfield options going forward and the young star does seem like a promising option.

His passing accuracy and creative runs are quite impressive and Carvalho also boasts of a mature understanding of the game which often leads to effective decision-making on the field. The 20-year-old is filled to the brim with potential and he is definitely a player the Wolves must consider.
