Fantasy Premier League Opinion: FPL Captain picks for GW29
The midweek results would certainly have come as a pretty big shock to the followers of Fantasy Premier League all over the world and this was partly due to the surprising results we were presented with.
While Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool were the biggest winners of the gameweek, the highest point scorer was Anfield centre-half Virgil Van Dijk with 20. Surprisingly though, four out of the top six point-scorers from this set of fixtures were all defenders.
Liverpool’s backline put in a dominant display with Andy Robertson and Trent Alexander-Arnold collecting 13 and 18 points respectively in the midweek. Everton’s Gylfi Sigurdsson put in a solid display as well while Swiss centre-half Fabian Schar of Newcastle scored a blinder to notch up 15 points.
In the upcoming set of fixtures, Tottenham vs Arsenal stands out as the most prominent game which could make a captain pick from this game that much more risky. With Harry Kane and Alexandre Lacazette both involved, it could be tempting but a risk of that extent can be costly.
Chelsea

Eden Hazard (LW) – Chelsea
The Belgian magician hasn’t delivered too many points over the last couple of gameweeks and will be looking to repay the faith placed in him by more than 24% of FPL players.
