Philippe Mexes:
Many of the readers will be surprised to find the Frenchman on the list. The 31 year old however has fallen down the pecking order at AC Milan with new manager Clarence Seedorf not being a fan of the defender. With the world cup away in about five month’s time, Mexes will have to consider his options away from the Rossoneri to secure a place in Didier Deschamps’ side in Brazil. The former Roma player who joined Milan on a free transfer in 2011 still has some of his years in him. His exquisite game reading ability, no nonsense defending and the willingness to take shots from distance shows why he would be a small term solution for a side who don’t have a flashy centre back pairing amongst them. A lesser Premier League side can snap him up by the next seventy two hours before the January Transfer Window slams shut. Post summer, he would fit in any side who agree to pay his significantly high wages.
