Three U21 Players Who Tottenham Can Look To Sign

Tottenham Hotspur have already lost a couple of games early this season and Mauricio Pochettino will know that his side will have to improve if they are to compete for the league title this season as well. The summer business from the manager has made sure that the club is well stacked in most departments but injuries and contingencies are sure to make them weak, later in the season.

So Pochettino will look to add further quality to his squad but will find it difficult to lure top-class talents to the club, due to the lack of places in the first-team.

But he can always look to sign youngsters who can learn from the bench and perform in the future, and here are three such U21 stars Pochettino should look to sign very soon:

Ryan Sessegnon (Fulham)

We start with one player who has been extensively linked with a move to the club in the recent past. The Fulham wonder kid is performing way beyond his years and is only getting better with more game time on the pitch in the Championship. He was linked with a move to Liverpool and most other top clubs in England but Spurs remain the favourites and should go all out for him soon, especially with Manchester United closing in on their left-back Danny Rose. Sessegnon can be a long-term replacement for the English ace.

Dael Fry (Middlesbrough)

One of the most wanted players in the top flight at the moment, Middlesbrough’s Dael Fry has been making the headlines recently and has been linked with a move to some of the biggest clubs in the country. At just 20, he has already established himself as one of the best in England’s second tier and belongs to the top flight. He will move to a bigger club in the near future and Spurs should look to sign him up to strengthen their central defence for the years to come. First team star Toby Alderweireld is yet to sign a new deal, which makes Fry an even more necessary signing.

Ademola Lookman (Everton)

Finally, another player who has been extensively linked with a move to the club in recent times is Everton starlet Lookman. The English ace has not been able to break into the first-team at Goodison Park and has been linked with an exit, less than a year after joining the Toffees. Spurs are one of many who are looking to sign him up and if they are able to, there are very few coaches better than Pochettino, for Lookman to learn from.
