5 Breakthrough Stars Who Could Come Out From The Premier League This Season

The Premier League is a tough place to make your name. Even well-established stars have struggled to make a real impact in the tournament, Shevchenko is just one example and being a youngster in the league is tough as well.

But then again, we have had incredible stories of youngsters making breakthroughs in the Premier League such as Wayne Rooney or even Marcus Rashford, more recently. With a new crop of young players at every club, we look at five potential youngsters who could have a breakthrough season this time around

Sheyi Ojo

Liverpool have not had the best of times with wingers, first, it was Raheem Sterling and now Jordon Ibe, both have been sold but Sheyi Ojo could turn out to be better than them. The 19-year-old already has made a name for himself in the preseason and he could turn out to be the x-factor in Jurgen Klopp’s team this season.

Blessed with pace and skill, he is a proper winger, something that Liverpool lack. He loves taking on defenders and is always looking to beat them with skill, one of the promising prospects for the English team in the future as well.

Josh Onomah

Tottenham had Dele Alli breaking through last season and it should be Josh Onomah, this time, around as Spurs have a lot of talent coming through the ranks and the English youngster is just one of the best at the moment.

The 19-year-old does have a number of substitute appearances for Tottenham already but the midfielder could be the one who gets to prove his ability in the senior side this season and even Mauricio Pochettino has admitted that he will keep Onomah in the side as he looks to give him a lot more playing time this season.

Jeff Reine-Adelaide

Arsenal do have a lot of young players coming through their system and knocking on the door of a chance but the Frenchman could be the one who makes the biggest impact for the London club this season.

The 18-year-old might have only joined Arsenal last season but he is extremely talented and highly rated by the manager as well. He did make an appearance for the team in the win over Sunderland in the FA Cup on 9 January 2016 and this is the season for the talented midfielder to make a big name for himself.

Viktor Fischer

This has got to be one of the steals of the season; just how Middlesbrough was able to snatch Fischer away from the other clubs is going to be a question that many would still not be able to answer.

The former Ajax man is 22-years at the moment but that is not the important part. He is brilliant with the ball at his feet and is always looking to create a goal for his side. The Dane is also extremely positive with his play and that would be important of Boro as they look to remain in the division this season.

Ramadan Sobhi

This might have been a bit of a risk from Stoke City but Ramadan Sobhi is one of the most talented players to come out from Egypt and he could set the Premier League on fire.

The 19-year-old is nicknamed as Ramadona and that basically says it all. The former Al Ahly star can play as an attacking midfielder or as a winger and is known for his tricks and flicks, something that has gotten him into trouble in Egypt but hopefully, he will be performing a lot of magic in the Premier League this season as well.
