Why Manchester United should definitely beat Arsenal to sign Cengiz Under
Its been a topsy turvy season for Manchester United so far, who have failed to make their way into the top four. The Red Devils have been in very poor form this season after losing to Liverpool 3-1.
Jose Mourinho’s side have come under increasing criticism as well due to their pragmatic approach to games this season. United have shipped a total of 29 goals as well and have looked nothing like the defensively stoic side they were last season.
None of their attackers seems to be showing any sort of consistency. Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford have done well in recent weeks but the likes of Romelu Lukaku, Alexis Sanchez and Paul Pogba have all had a shaky season so far. There seems to be a clear lack of chances created from their side as well.
Mourinho surely has to dive back into the market in January and further bolster the squad. The manager should take a look at Roma midfielder Cengiz Under. According to Sky Sports, Arsenal are interested in making a move for the Turkish international.
But the Gunners have been in splendid form under Unai Emery this season and it’s the Old Trafford side who are in dire need of some attacking quality. Jose Mourinho should certainly consider bringing in the Turkish midfielder.
He is technically very good and has shown brilliant potential after making the move to Italy. Under is a pass master in a class of his own and loves to pick out his teammates in the final third. He will provide Manchester United with that missing energy and drive in the middle of the park.
The Turkish international can play anywhere along the midfield, including the flanks. It’s on the wings that he thrives the most given that the midfielder is very good at driving at defenders and cutting in to find space.
