5 New Signings Who May Make an Instant Impact. Manchester United and Chelsea Star Included

The transfer window ending means a few teams were able to bring in a few last minute signings, the Premier League more than any other league ends up with the last minute signings and deadline day is almost seen as the biggest day of the transfer window.

With the league returning to action after the international break, we look ahead to this week’s clash and name five players who could be making their debuts for their new teams.

Kevin De Bruyne

A return to the Premier League, De Bruyne could be stronger and wiser. He didn’t have the greatest of times at Chelsea a few years ago, but Manchester City has given him a new lease in England and with Silva a doubt for the game, this could be the perfect time to play the Belgian. De Bruyne will have a point to prove to all his detractors from his last stint in England.

Anthony Martial

The most expensive teenager in football might not start the game against Manchester United’s rivals, LiverpoolLiverpool, but the 19-year-old French striker could provide a problem to Liverpool’s defence in the latter parts of the game. He did start Monaco’s last game against PSG, so it isn’t like he has not played in big pressure games. Of course, Liverpool playing Manchester United is a different experience altogether.

Joleon Lescott

The former English defender joined Aston Villa from West Bromwich Albion and could make a start for the Tim Sherwood’s team this weekend. Lescott hasn’t had the best of times in the league recently and maybe a move to another club could give a boost to the career of the 33-year-old, maybe a couple of good seasons before he lets go on playing regularly.

Papy Djilobodji

Not the biggest in terms of money spent by Chelsea but the Senegal player could make an appearance as a substitute for Chelsea this weekend. It isn’t normal for Chelsea to spend just £3 million on a player and he has not been included in the Champions League squad either. It was a surprising signing and hopefully Papy will try to surprise everyone at Chelsea as well.

Son Heung-Min

The South Korean is the most expensive Asian in history and it might come as a bit of a surprise that no one else tried to get the Bayer Leverkusen star. He has been brought in to reduce the pressure on Harry Kane at Tottenham and the record signing could make his appearance as Kane is still to open his account for his club this season. The 23-year-old could be a shrewd signing and could be just the player to spark up Tottenham’s start.
