A Note On The Spanish Superstar From Malaga: Isco

Many football fans would have heard of the rising star Isco for the people who don’t know him. Isco is a Spanish U21 making eleven appearances and scoring six goals. He has also made five appearances for the Spanish U23 team scoring zero goals. Recently Isco made his first Spanish cap and is playing for Malaga who are playing champions league football. Isco who used to play for Spanish team Valencia making only four appearances for the first team but he was still very very young.

He had a six million buyout clause in his contract and Malaga saw that he would be a great buy for the future since his move from Valencia Isco has made fifty six appearances for Malaga scoring thirteen goals. Isco is a midfielder who has recently had a new contract he hasn’t extended his contract he has only increased his wages and his release clause.

This was a very clever move from Malaga as they won’t be playing Champions league football next season as their in major debt and Malaga have noticed many teams in Europe after this Spanish superstar. Malaga board new many teams were trying to secure the signing of Isco and new his release clause in his old contract didn’t match the transfer fee Malaga wanted for him.

Where will he go? In my opinion he will go to Germany to Bayern Munich as their have been many rumors circulating that Pep is interested in Isco and plans a move for him in the summer he will suit Pep Guardiola style very very well and could fill the Iniesta role for Bayern . Another potential move could keep him in Spain as Barcelona and Real Madrid look to line up a healthy bid for the Malaga midfielder but is more likely to secure a move to Real Madrid than Barcelona as Real will want to strengthen the squad if they fail to win the League which is very likely as their sixteen points behind Barcelona and if they fail to win the champions league Real Madrid will want to improve their squad.

Another move could take him to England maybe Arsenal or Manchester United but Isco will not come cheap as his release clause could be around thirty five million euros will Arsenal or Manchester United want to pay this heavy price tag for the twenty year old My understanding is Isco will want to play in the champions league so unless Arsenal finish in the top 4 he won’t be going to Arsenal. Manchester United will want this Spanish superstar but I can’t see them playing thirty million for a twenty year old who might not make their starting lineup unless they sell Wayne Rooney as both players like to play behind the striker.

If Arsenal do finish in the top 4 they will be favorites to sign Isco as Santi Carzola and Isco are very good mates. But then to work under Pep Guardiola in Germany would be an offer he couldn’t refuse. The other team I have mentioned which is Barcelona which is Isco couldn’t refuse but the only problem with him going there is he might not play as much as he would want and that’s the same as if he went to Real Madrid.

So there are two candidates for me a It will be very interesting to see who signs this hot prospect for the future who has been compared to Anders Iniesta and many people in Spain think he could become better if he chooses the right team to sign for and makes appearances.
