Arnautovic and Mario to start – Strongest 3-4-2-1 West Ham line-up to face Manchester United

Predicted West Ham United Line-up To Face Manchester United In The Premier League

It has been a very interesting season for West Ham. Cast your minds back to September 2017 – Slaven Bilic is still in charge, looking to push on after a disappointing 15th place finish the season before but there is optimism; they have just signed Marko Arnautovic, Javier Hernandez, Joe Hart, who are all top quality players.

This seems a world away from coins being thrown at their owners and David Moyes scrapping to Premier League safety but that is all that matters now and they are safe in the Premier League for another season and will be looking to finish strongly.

Manchester United come into this game on the back of a 1-0 loss to Huddersfield, marking this as the first season United have lost to all three promoted teams. They will be looking to bounce back in style.

Probable West Ham United XI

Manager: David Moyes

Formation: 3-4-2-1

Adrian (GK)

The 31-year-old was expected to drop down the pecking order after Joe Hart’s arrival, however, he has reclaimed his place in the team after some woeful performances from Hart. He looked assured against Leicester and made some good saves.

Declan Rice (CB)

The young defender has really impressed since David Moyes switched to three at the back, and he has been one of the real success stories for West Ham this season. A player they can potentially build their defence around for seasons to come.

Angelo Ogbonna (CB)

Ogbonna really impressed against Leicester and has had a decent season for the Hammers. He is occasionally prone to an error and is sometimes caught out of position but his strength and ability in the air often get him out of trouble.

Pablo Zabaleta

Aaron Cresswell (CB)

The defender has been solid since moving into a back-three for West Ham. It is a bonus to have someone as good as he is on the ball when it needs to be calmly played out from the back.

Arthur Masuaku (LWB)

Masuaku has played well in the left wing-back position and often provides a threat down that side. He gives West Ham the width and his return of 3 assists in 19 appearances has been excellent.

Pablo Zabaleta (RWB)

The experienced wing-back has been an incredible ‘hit and miss’ this season for West Ham. He had a good game against Leicester last time out but is prone to errors.

Mark Noble

Cheikhou Kouyate (CM)

One of the best players in the West Ham squad this season. Tackles well each game and wins almost everything in the air. He has also grabbed a couple of goals this season and looks dangerous on the ball.

Mark Noble (CM)

The West Ham captain has had a very interesting season and for a lot of it, he was a source of frustration for fans who believed that he just wasn’t up to this level of football anymore. In the last few games, he has proved them wrong but will be looking to improve next season.

Manuel Lanzini (CAM)

When Lanzini is fit, West Ham look like a better team. He adds flair and creativity to the side and has managed 3 goals and 6 assists in only 21 appearances this term. They will be hoping that he is wrapped in bubble wrap this summer to come back strong next season.

Marko Arnautovic

Joao Mario (CAM)

Mario has proved to be an excellent signing for the Hammers and it will be interesting to see if they sign him permanently in the summer. He has only two goals and one assist since arriving in January but he adds class to the team and uses the ball well.

Marko Arnautovic (ST)

A player who has always looked good and it seems like all that he needed was a consistent run as a striker to prove it. He has 10 goals and 5 assists in 26 appearances, which is an excellent return. He is a real fan favourite at the Olympic Stadium.
