Arsenal Are Chasing Barcelona’s Next “Cesc Fabregas”

A sense of Dejavu as Arsenal are reportedly tracking the “next Cesc Fabregas” Munir El Haddadi from Barcelona. Fabregas, who joined the Gunners as a 16 year old back in 2003 went on to become one of the best youth products that the club has developed.

The 18-year old Munir El Haddadi has caught everyone’s eyes at the La Masia academy and has been hailed as the next Fabregas. Could El Haddadi follow the path of Fabregas?

The report from Mirror claims:

The Catalan giants have yet to tie El Haddadi down to a long-term contract, causing other clubs – including Arsenal – to up their interest.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is hoping the winger, who can also play in a central attacking role, will follow in the footsteps of former captain Fabregas and make the move from Spain to north London.

But Arsenal will have to move quickly, with competition for the highly-rated teen hotting up, while Barcelona also look to keep El Haddadi at the Nou Camp.

While Arsenal are looking for immediate respite in their attacking department, a move for an 18-year old youngster would do no good for their title aspirations. However, knowing Wenger, a move might be very well be on the cards as the French Manger has always looked to bring the best of talents to the Emirates.

The second goal in the below video is scored by Munir El Haddadi
