Arsenal Daily: Kroenke’s Lavish Spendings And UCL Team News

Kroenke’s Lavish Spendings

On Saturday, Arsenal fans were busy marching against the club’s board chanting “we want our Arsenal back.” They questioned board’s spending and wage policies which prevent them from signing or retaining star players. They thought march will have a impact on Board. Really?

While the march was going on, shareholder Stan Kroenke was finishing an £80million deal for a Montana ranch 5000 miles away. It is  124,000 acre site – enough to fit 71,000 Emirates Stadiums in it. Wow right? Not so wow news for Arsenal fans.

Arsene Wenger is adamant that his side will go for the win tonight to finish top in the group stages.

“There is something at stake and I’ll have to give a breather to some players who are on the edge, as well as go over there and win our game to make sure that we do the job until the end,” Wenger said in Arsenal.com,

Arsenal have opted to leave behind six first-team regulars in London ahead of their final Champions League group clash against Olympiakos.

Midfielders Santi Cazorla, Jack Wilshere and Mikel Arteta, forwards Lukas Podolski and Theo Walcott as well as defender Per Mertesacker were all given a rest day to avoid fatigue.

Wojciech Szczesny, Thomas Vermaelen, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Aaron Ramsey, and Gervinho will teaming up with youth team players, five of whom are yet to make their first-team debut.
