Arsenal travel to Southampton tomorrow on a crucial game in which the North London side will look to secure all three points. It’s a must win game for the gunners as any slip-up will prove costly in their title chase.
Injury News – Mixed news for the gooners.
In a pre-match conference Arsene Wenger revealed the team news ahead of the Saints game.
On Vermaelen, Arteta and Ramsey
“But we have three players back normally in the squad. The three are Vermaelen, Arteta and Ramsey.
On Jack Wilshere,
“They should all be back and available, but we might lose Jack for tomorrow’s game.”
This would not effect the team much as Ramsey will instantly replace Jack in the squad.
On other Arsenal news, Wenger also commented about Sagna’s contract saga.
He said,
“At the moment if Sagna doesn’t extend his contract we’ll have to [consider] that but [for now] we look at Southampton’s game more than the long-term future. We try to of course secure Sagna because for me he’s a very important player for the group, but he’s fully committed and as long as he stays here he will be fully committed in every single game.”
Arsenal should make sure they extend Sagna’s contract asap as Monaco and Manchester City are rumored to be interested in his signature.
