Arsenal Player Ratings in the 3-0 Win Over Dinamo Zagreb: Ozil and Alexis Star for the Gunners

Petr Cech
Petr Cech

Petr Cech 7.5

He’s had much busier Champions League nights and made sure that his side ended up having a clean sheet. Did well to stop an own goal.

Hector Bellerin 7.5

Improving with every match. He had a good link-up with Joel Campbell whenever he got forward. Was good defensively too.

Per Mertesacker 7

Had little to do in the heart of defence as Arsenal searched for goals. Kept out Dinamo from the limited chances they got.

Laurent Koscielny 7

Had nothing to do just like his partner Per Mertasacker. But looked clinical whenever he was tested by the Zagreb attack.

Nacho Monreal 8

What a season this Spaniard is having. One of Arsenal’s better player this season. Once again showed what he is capable of as he constantly went forward and ended up with an assist. Contributed in the defence whenever it is needed.

Mathieu Flamini 7

The Frenchman replaced his fellow Frenchman Francis Coquelin, who was injured in the weekend. Flamini had a decent game without committing any errors. He kept it clean and simple.

Santi Cazorla 7.5

Santi Cazorla put the penalty embarrassment behind him and dictated Arsenal against Zagreb. Looked good in the middle but nothing went his way in the final third.

Joel Campbell 8.5

The young Costa Rican is making the most of the chance he has got in the absence of Aaron Ramsey, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Theo Walcott. This is one of the best games he has played for the club as he got an assist, created chances, worked hard up and down the pitch.

Mesut Ozil 9

The German could have scored 3-4 goals by himself but was very much unlucky not to have done that. He looked sublime. He had a goal to his name.

Alexis Sanchez

Alexis Sanchez 9

The Chilean ended an 8 game drought with a brace and played some breathtaking Football at times. He also assisted once but looked jaded at times.

Olivier Giroud 7

Didn’t have much to do as a striker. He contributed for the first goal.
