Arsenal Player Ratings vs Spurs: Cech and Ozil Starred for the Gunners

Petr Cech 7

Once again the Czech International proved why his signing from Chelsea was crucial for Arsenal this season as he made sure the scoreline remained 1-1 and salvaged a point for his side.

Petr Cech

Mathieu Debuchy 5.5

Debuchy was decent defensively and hardly created an impact in the attack. This is where Arsenal missed Bellerin badly.

Per Mertasacker 4

The German central defender lost the flight of the ball on several occasions and was poor positionally. Failed to keep Kane at bay.

Laurent Koscielny 5

The Frenchman starting the game was a massive boost for Arsenal. But, eventually, Koscielny was at fault at Harry Kane’s goal as he failed to play off-side. His communication with Mertasacker was poor.

Nacho Monreal 6

Once again the Spaniard proved to be the best among the back 4. He was calm and composed throughput the game.

Francis Coquelin 6

Coquelin began slowly, but improved after the break. He failed to impose himself on the game. The Frenchman was often tormented by the Tottenham’s fluid front line ofEriksen, Dembele, Lamela and Kane.

Santi Cazorla 4.5

This was a game to forget for Cazorla as the Tottenham players were all over him. Was substituted by Mathieu Flamini a half-time.

Joel Campbell 5.5

Once again he put on a good show but hardly troubled Danny Rose. Had a good shot at goal which was stopped by Lloris. He should work on his right foot as he was too reliable on his left.

Mesut Ozil 7

Ozil put on a brilliant display as he often broke Tottenham defence with his passes. He assisted Arsenal’s only goal in the match with a good cross to Gibbs.

Alexis Sanchez 5

The Chilean International Alexis Sanchez looked completely off-colour tonight. He could not provide the spark that was expected from him.

Alexis Sanchez

Olivier Giroud 5

Fortunate to escape punishment for a scuffle with Vertonghen. Powered a header onto the bar from close range when he should have done better and failed to make the most of the chances that fell his way.

Substitutes:

Flamini 6

Kieran Gibbs 7

Mikel Arteta 6
