According to Dailymail, Arsenal are planning to buy West Ham defender Winston Reid in the January transfer window.
With rumors suggesting the unsettled captain Thomas Vermaelen to leave the North London club soon, Arsenal are looking for a decent backup for their first-choice defense pairing of Laurent Koscielny and Per Mertesacker. Winston Reid fits the bill perfectly and if signed, he will add good depth to this Arsenal defense.
Arsenal scouts are monitoring the 25-year old tough tackling midfielder for a long time now. It is believed that Arsenal will open the negotiation with a £6m bid when the January window opens again.
