Arsenal Opinion: Can Said Benrahma make an impact at Arsenal?
Algerian news outlet Le Buteur
Having arrived in the summer from OGC Nice, the Algerian star has since made quite a name for himself in the Championship despite enduring a tough start to his career in England.
He failed to make an impact in five games, before stepping up with a few eye-catching performances that have caught the attention of Arsenal and Chelsea.
But with the Blues facing a transfer ban, it looks like Benrahma can be targeted by the Gunners. The 23-year-old even revealed in an interview with Football
But do the Gunners really need Benrahma’s presence at the Emirates Stadium, given the fact that they do have the likes of Alex Iwobi, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Reiss Nelson and even Bukayo Saka?
That’s something that cannot be answered just at the moment, but the Algerian could certainly make an impact at the club.
Not only has he shown an eye for goal, scoring 8 this season including a hattrick against Hull City a little over a week ago but the 23-year-old has been at his creative best.
A remarkable 14 assists, with 12 alone in the Championship, means that he’s created more goals than any other Arsenal player including the likes of Mesut Ozil and Alex Iwobi.
Though it has been in the Championship, Benrahma’s mentality and ability to adapt to a more physical league have shown his capabilities.
While he would take time to adjust to the Premier League like any new player, the youngster should follow the likes of Diogo Jota and Ryan Sessegnon into a successful Premier League career.

But for Arsenal, the Gunners need another winger to help out Iwobi and Mkhitaryan. Not only will Said Benrahma come considerably cheaper than many of their January transfer window targets but he would also be happy to make an impact off the bench.
That combined with Unai Emery’s proven history with unknown quantities at Sevilla and even PSG means the Algerian winger could improve and find his footing in the Premier League.
