Arsenal Transfers – Malaga To Do A Double Favour For The Gunners? And Rumours On Another Youngster Target

Looks like Malaga are fast becoming Arsenal’s favourite club as they now want Bendtner after having already sold Spanish sensation Santi Cazorla and Nacho Monreal.

Arsenal forward Nicklas Bendtner who has found it hard to find a club that will give him regular first team football and a weekly wage that fits his pockets may just have found a potential suitor for him. Reported by the Independent, Malaga are willing to complete a swap deal for Bendtner with club captain Jesus Gamez alleged to move to the Emirates.

Gunners’ Danish International Bendtner has been associated with the club for a long time. He signed his first contract with Arsenal in 2005 at an age of 17. But since then, he had not treated his talent well enough and as a result had been loaned few times. Last year Wenger loaned him to Serie A side Juventus where he just managed to appear 10 times in the whole season. Needless to say, he spent the season without a single goal for his side. So, it is quite obvious why Arsene Wenger wants to sell him off. Earlier in the transfer window, Bundesliga side Hamburg came close to wrap up the deal, but the German club called it off because of Bendtner’s wage demand.

Whereas Bendtner will head towards Spain, Malaga captain Jesus Gamez will take the opposite direction if the deal gets final nod. The 28-year old defender has still three years of contract left with the club. He has been associated with the Spanish club for 10 years, appearing in more than 200 games for them. But Malaga seem to be desperate to add a respectable name after Isco, Joaquin and Javier Saviola all have left the club this summer. Agreeing to the swap deal may have come out of the desperation.

Whereas this deal is yet to get a concrete shape, Arsenal have been linked to yet another transfer rumour. Arsenal, along with Tottenham and Newcastle, have been linked with Nigerian youngster Uche Nwofor. Nwofor’s speed and physical strength resemble with Aston Villa’s striker Christian Benteke earning him the title of ‘New Christian Benteke’ by a section of media. Currently plying his trade at Dutch club VVV Venlo, Nwofor scored 10 goals last season. Nwofor was on a verge to join Russian club CSKA Moscow in January for around £3m but the deal didn’t get finalized. We have to wait to see in which direction the deal heads this time.
